VentriFix® is a sterile, single-use fixation for external ventricular drainage (EVD) catheters.
It allows for fast, secure catheter placement on the scalp – without additional clips or adhesive dressings. Designed for ease of use and skin tolerance, VentriFix® helps prevent accidental dislocation and supports safe patient handling in critical care settings.

A study conducted at Queen’s Medical Centre (Nottingham, UK) compared complication rates between standard suture fixation and VentriFix® for 114 EVD placements.
Key findings:
CSF leak rates dropped from 26.2% (sutures) to 8.8%
Catheter migration was more than 50% lower with VentriFix
No increase in infection or blockage rates was observed
Clinicians reported easier handling and consistent positioning
